Dr Iyengar trained in Haematology in London at University College Hospital before undertaking research in Mantle cell lymphoma at Barts Cancer Institute. They won the EHA-ASH Translational Research Fellowship in 2011 and was awarded the Royal College of Pathologists research medal in Haematology in 2013. Dr Iyengar is a member of the Royal College of Pathologists.
