He thoroughly enjoys clinical work due to the variety of patients that he has the opportunity to interact with, and the gratification of improving their quality of life. Dr Karim is passionate about developing medical research for cognitive disorders including Alzheimer's Disease, as he views this as one of the biggest challenges for current and future generations. He has contributed to research in this field, publishing papers on the quality of life of patients with dementia, the mini-mental state examination and mild cognitive impairment.
