About Dr Rani Bora
I am a consultant psychiatrist with over two decades of NHS and private practice experience, a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, and co-founder of The Holistic Psychiatry Clinic — a UK-wide online practice based at Harley Street, London. My clinical work focuses on adults with depression, anxiety, burnout, and trauma, as well as people who want to review or reduce long-term psychiatric medication. I am particularly interested in cases where conventional approaches have not fully helped — where someone has been managing symptoms for years without ever feeling genuinely well, or where a diagnosis has never quite fitted their experience. I integrate evidence-based psychiatry with lifestyle medicine and a recovery-oriented approach, grounded in the belief that sustainable mental health involves more than medication management. Appointments with me are unhurried — initial consultations are 90 minutes — and I take seriously the full context of a person's life, not just their presenting symptoms. I see patients across the UK via secure video consultation, and work closely with my co-founder Dr Suraj Gogoi (MRCPsych).
