Prof Michael Craig
Psychiatry
About
Since 1999 he has practiced at the Maudsley and Royal Bethlem Hospitals, where he is a Consultant. This ‘tertiary' referral service treats people with complex mental health problems, usually following a referral from other psychiatrists.
He sees private referrals for all general psychiatric problems such as mood and anxiety disorders, OCD and PTSD among others and this includes from his rooms at Pinero House, Harley Street and the Nightingale Hospital, Marylebone.
Dr Craig graduated with honours in Psychology, from Bristol University and then trained in various types of psychotherapy, such as CAT and CBT. His second degree was in General Medicine and Surgery, which he studied at the University of London. Following this he completed specialist training in General Adult Psychiatry on the Maudsley training programme.
He is actively involved in teaching general psychiatry to medical students and specialist trainees at King's College Medical School and the Maudsley Hospital and is also an examiner for the Royal College of Psychiatrists (RCPsych).
