About Dr Matthew Brown
Dr. Matthew Brown is a Consultant in Pain Medicine at the Royal Marsden Hospital. He completed his medical education at King's College London, graduating with distinction and earning numerous academic accolades, including the War Memorial and Wolfson Foundation Scholarships, as well as a University of London Convocation Award. His anaesthetic training took place within the Imperial School of Anaesthesia in London, where his passion for clinical research led him to secure a place in the prestigious National Institute for Health Research's Academic Clinical Fellowship Programme. This opportunity enabled him to conduct groundbreaking, award-winning research into pain at both Imperial College and King's College, London.
Dr. Brown received comprehensive training in pain medicine at two of the UK’s leading hospitals, The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. He later became the first anaesthetist to complete a Doctor of Medicine at the Institute of Cancer Research. His clinical practice focuses on a holistic approach to cancer-related pain management, utilising a variety of treatments aimed at reducing symptoms and improving patients’ functional abilities.
