About Dr Mark Hudson-Peacock

Dr Mark Hudson-Peacock is a Consultant Dermatologist and Dermatological and Laser Surgeon. He was the lead Consultant Dermatologist at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust for 5 years and was instrumental in establishing the Friends Dermatology Centre at the Kent and Canterbury Hospital, the hub of the "hub and spoke" model for delivering skin care that was created across the Trust. He worked as a Consultant in the Trust from January 1996 to January 2014. He left in order to establish another health-related treatment (eXroid treatment for internal haemorrhoids ) for eventual use on the NHS, as well as to continue his private dermatology practice at The Canterbury Skin and Laser Clinic, which he established with his wife, Dr Alice Hudson-Peacock, in 2003. Prior to this, Dr Hudson-Peacock had set up his own private dermatological and laser practice at the Chaucer Hospital in Canterbury in 1996. Eventually, he extended his role into the Spencer Wing within the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital in Margate. With the aim of providing a more holistic approach to skin care, he and Dr. Alice set up a clinic to be able to offer the full range of dermatological treatments, supported by nurses and aestheticians. Dr Hudson-Peacock graduated with MBBCh at the University of Wales College of Medicine, also having previously graduated with BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry. He was awarded the first Geoffrey Hodgson prize in Clinical Dermatology which opened up his new career platform specialising in Dermatology. His Dermatology training was completed in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and later he participated in further training in dermatological and laser surgery in Europe, America and Canada. He was awarded the prestigious Hugh Wallace prize in Dermatology for his presentation at the RSM as a Registrar. Dr Hudson-Peacock has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and has lectured widely, sharing his knowledge across the UK, and internationally. Dr Hudson-Peacock consults on all aspects of general dermatology in both adults and children. He treats conditions such as acne, rosacea, skin cancers, eczema, psoriasis, and allergies amongst others. His particular interests are in the management of skin cancer including complex surgical treatments and PDT, moles and other lumps and bumps, as well as management of skin rashes and aesthetic dermatology.
