About
Dr Hill trained at St George's Hospital, London and completed his Medical Oncology speciality training at Guy's Hospital. He went on to do a Research Fellowship at the Institute of Cancer Research and obtained an MD from the University of London. In 1998 he was appointed as a Consultant to the GI Unit at the Royal Marsden Hospital. In 2003 he took up post a full time as Lead Medical Oncologist in the Kent Cancer Network and was made a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians. He was made an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Kent in 2004.
Dr Hill has an active interest in clinical investigations and is Clinical Lead of the Kent, Surrey & Sussex Cancer Research Network and sits on the NCRI advanced colon cancer trials sub-committee. He has been published in over 60 peer reviewed papers in high ranking journals and regularly is invited to speak at National and International conferences. He is a founding Trustee the Kent Cancer Trust, a local cancer research charity.
Outside of work he enjoys playing cricket, cycling, travelling and spending time with his wife and four children.
