Dr Farrell is passionate about education and has taught in both Cambridge and London. She is an Honorary Lecturer at University College London and a member of the Neuroscience BSC Course Committee. She developed the neurology curriculum Brunel University Medical School and is the Education Lead for the Neuroscience Institute at Cleveland Clinic London.

Dr Farrell has a number of other interests, in particular, foreign languages, music and dance.
