Mr Kashif Qureshi is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon with a particular interest in diseases affecting the retina. He also consults on general eye conditions, he carries out cataract surgery, he performs laser surgery to the anterior and posterior segments of the eye, and this involves laser eye surgery on the retina, he also performs vitreous and intravitreal procedures.
He graduated in 1999 from United Medical and Dental Schools of Guys and St Thomas' Hospitals in London. Following this, he has worked for more than 13 years as an Ophthalmologist and has also become a fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.
He completed specialist training in diseases of the retina at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital and then at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. With his knowledge and expertise, he can operate on a variety of eye conditions including, cataracts, Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD), Glaucoma and other retinal diseases. With years of clinical experience, this has allowed his research to move forward with novel therapeutic treatments. He has published his research in numerous articles and Mr Qureshi is also investigating a new laser that can treat dry macular degeneration.
