About Dr Jibu Varghese
Dr Jibu Varghese is a highly experienced Consultant Dermatologist, currently practicing at Nuffield Health Taunton Hospital, The Winterbourne Hospital, and The Melbury Skin Clinic. With a distinguished career spanning two countries and multiple prominent teaching and district general hospitals across the UK, he has gained significant expertise in all areas of dermatology. Dr Varghese completed his dermatology training in South West England and received advanced, specialised training in skin cancer surgery, including Mohs micrographic surgery, at the renowned Welsh Institute of Dermatology in Cardiff. Throughout his training, he worked alongside some of the UK’s most respected dermatologists, further refining his skills. His wide-ranging expertise includes the diagnosis and management of high-risk skin cancers, laser therapies, cosmetic dermatology, and biological therapies. He also treats a broad spectrum of dermatological conditions, including acne, psoriasis, eczema, hair disorders, and general dermatological concerns. In his clinical practice, Dr Varghese performs a variety of advanced dermatological procedures, such as skin flaps, full-thickness skin grafts, advanced skin closure techniques, wrinkle-smoothing injections, cryotherapy, curettage, and cautery. His expertise in Mohs micrographic surgery and skin cancer management is complemented by his proficiency in laser treatments and biologic therapies. Alongside his clinical work, Dr Varghese is deeply committed to medical education and research. He is actively involved in teaching undergraduates, postgraduates, nurses, general practitioners, and specialist registrars in dermatology. Additionally, he participates in collaborative research, audits, and publications, contributing to the ongoing advancement of dermatological care. Dr Varghese offers a wide range of treatments, including mole removal and assessment, skin grafts for leg ulcers, skin cancer surgery, dermatological surgery, excisional biopsies, and facial surgery.
