Ms Helen C McEvoy is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust in London. She studied medicine at the University of Cambridge, graduating in 1998, and went on to complete her early surgical training in London. She became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2001 and later undertook an MSc in a research-focused programme, graduating with distinction.
She progressed through higher surgical training in plastic surgery across major teaching hospitals in London, gaining broad experience in reconstructive and aesthetic procedures. In 2008, she was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (Plastic Surgery). She subsequently completed a specialist fellowship in cancer reconstruction at the Royal Marsden Hospital, London, further developing her expertise in complex reconstructive surgery.
Ms McEvoy’s clinical practice encompasses the full scope of general plastic surgery, with a particular focus on breast reconstruction, breast asymmetry and cosmetic breast surgery. She also works closely with dermatology colleagues at the St John’s Institute of Dermatology, providing surgical management of skin lesions and other dermatological conditions.
In addition, she performs a range of cosmetic surgical procedures, with an emphasis on achieving balanced, natural outcomes tailored to individual patient goals. Her approach is grounded in careful assessment, shared decision-making and evidence-based surgical planning.
