Dr Farooq Wandroo is a highly experienced Consultant Haematologist with extensive expertise in both clinical and laboratory haematology. He qualified in medicine from Kashmir University in 1987 and has since achieved Membership and Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists in Haematology (FRCPath Haem).
Dr Wandroo’s clinical practice spans the full spectrum of haematological disorders, with particular expertise in haemato-oncology. His specialist interests include the diagnosis and management of lymphomas, myelomas, and leukaemias, as well as general haematology conditions such as anaemias and thrombotic disorders. He combines laboratory insight with clinical care to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based treatment tailored to each patient.
He serves as the Lead for Haemato-Oncology at Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospital, where he plays a central role in service development and multidisciplinary cancer care. Dr Wandroo is also actively involved in clinical trials in malignant haematology and has a strong interest in advancing chemo-immunotherapy treatments, contributing to innovation and improved outcomes for patients with blood cancers.
