About Prof Eli Silber

Professor Eli Silber is an esteemed Consultant Neurologist with an impressive career spanning over two decades. He was appointed consultant neurologist at Kings' College Hospital and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (where he is the clinical lead) in 2000. Prof Silber is a highly experienced general neurologist, adept in diagnosing and treating various neurological conditions, including headaches, dizziness, vertigo, tremors, seizures, and fainting. He is actively involved in the care of acute neurological inpatients. Prof Silber's  main area of expertise lies in the management of patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) and other inflammatory conditions. In addition to his work in MS, Prof Silber is actively involved in acute neurology, providing care for patients with urgent neurological emergencies. He collaborates closely with colleagues in acute general medicine and intensive care units to assess and manage complex and critically ill patients. He supports a regular HIV- Neurology clinic at Kings College Hospital.  Prof Silber is interested in neurological rehabilitation and palliative care, offering support to patients with neurological disabilities and advanced conditions. He has served as the Neurologist on the National Council for Palliative Care's neurology working group and the European Medical Association's working group on palliative care in MS. Apart from his clinical work, Prof Silber is involved in research and has been a lead investigator in numerous clinical trials of novel therapeutic agents for MS.
