About Dr Edward Sames
Dr Edward Sames is a Consultant specialising in Rheumatology currently working at Ashford and St Peter's Hospital in Surrey. As a Consultant Rheumatologist, he consults on and treats several disorders including Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, Osteoporosis, Gout, Polymyalgia Rheumatica, Fibromyalgia, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Lupus and Vasculitis. He graduated in 2009 in Medicine from Barts and The London Medical School, and has completed post-graduate training in several hospitals in London, Surrey and Sussex. Dr Sames worked previously as a club doctor for a football team and his work involved diagnosing and treating many musculoskeletal disorders and sports injuries. Furthermore, he had also completed a Post Graduate Diploma from the University of South Wales specifically on Sports and Exercise Medicine. Through completing this diploma he was highly trained in performing soft tissue and joint injections on his patients. More impressively, he completed a Master's degree in Immunology. This involved researching and working on an antibody to treat Rheumatoid Arthritis. His research on this topic is still actively ongoing at St Peter's Hospital. Dr Sames also enjoys teaching and training Medical Students and Junior Doctors and apart from his clinical interests he enjoys photography, art and music.
