Über uns

Dr Diana Tait is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist, with specialist interest in upper gastrointestinal (GI), colorectal and breast cancers and a particular interest in GI chemoradiotherapy and the use of modern radiotherapy technologies for optimising treatment including CyberKnife and cone beam radiotherapy.

Dr Tait has been a Consultant at the Royal Marsden since 1988. She is also Clinical Governance Medical Lead (working to establish committees to audit procedures and improve communication between departments, patients and other centres), and since January 2009, has been Clinical Lead for the Colorectal Guidelines Development Group for NICE, in addition to her recent appointment as Registrar in the Faculty of Clinical Oncology at the RCR. She is also a member of the Clinical Audit Committee at the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) and has been responsible for audit nationally since 2005.

Dr Tait is Clinical Oncology Lead on national and international GI research and collaborates on associated studies in both GI and breast cancer and is actively involved in research. She is principal investigator on a number of studies with the focus around using new radiotherapy technologies to improve patients' treatment management. She is currently principal investigator on one rectal study which is investigating the optimum time to surgery following pre-op chemoradiotherapy. A second study involves intensive follow-up for patients who want to avoid rectal surgery altogether by adopting a "watch and wait" policy.
