About Dr David Howell
Dr David Howell is a Consultant in Critical Care and Acute Medicine, currently the Clinical Lead of the Acute Medicine Unit (AMU) at UCLH, while also leading the Princess Grace Hospital Critical Care Unit. Dr Howell studied medicine at University College London, completing specialist training in General Medicine, Respiratory Medicine and Critical Care in London. He was previously a Medical Research Council Research Fellow at the Centre for Respiratory Research (CRR) at University College London and was awarded a PhD for his work on the role of coagulation proteases in the pathogenesis of inflammatory and fibrotic lung disease. He continues to have an active role in research projects and clinical trials. It is important that HCA is transparent about our relationship with those doctors who provide us with clinical guidance on delivering the best possible care to patients and operating our hospitals safely and efficiently.
