About Dr Biju Krishnan
Dr Biju Krishnan is an award winning dentist with special interests in early interceptive non-extraction orthodontics and cosmetic dentistry. He is also the founder of iConsentu - the first enhanced consent tool for General Dentistry and the inventor of Cfast - one of UK's largest orthodontic cosmetic tooth alignment systems. He is also the co-founder of the Society for Dentofacial Growth and Function, a group which has brought together professionals from multidisciplinary backgrounds with the aim of revolutionising paediatric health by promoting early screening and integrative treatment approaches for growth and development of children’s faces and jaws and airways. Dr Krishnan was first introduced to early interceptive orthodontics in 1994 and has since developed his practice to help children optimise growth and development, to improve airway function and avoid the need for orthodontic extractions. He has undertaken extensive training in treating paediatric orthopaedic orthodontics and routinely treats children while still in their primary and early mixed dentition. Dr Krishnan is an FDI speaker and lectures extensively both nationally and internationally. He has published in many journals and has authored the first book on cosmetic tooth alignment which is now into its second edition. He is on the board of the British Academy of Restorative Dentistry, the editorial board of Aesthetic Dentistry Today and Orthodontic Practice magazine.
