Dr Ahmed Elmodir is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist with extensive experience in chemotherapy and immunotherapy, particularly in managing gynaecological, prostate, bladder, and kidney cancers. He completed his medical training in the West Midlands and began his role as a Consultant Oncologist at University Hospital Birmingham in 2003.
His career demonstrates a strong dedication to the field of oncology. He obtained his MRCP in 1997, followed by the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (Clinical Oncology) in 2002. In recognition of his contributions to medicine, he was also made a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 2007.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr Elmodir is actively engaged in research and leads several national clinical trials as a principal investigator. His commitment to enhancing patient care is also reflected in his work on clinical audits, including his membership in the clinical oncology audit sub-committee of the Royal College of Radiologists. Furthermore, he supports medical education as an honorary senior lecturer at Birmingham University, where he regularly teaches and mentors students in oncology.
