Seine Facharztausbildung für Plastische und Ästhetische Chirurgie führte er in München zu Ende, danach war er als Oberarzt in Kassel bei Prof. Noah tätig, wo er in der Ästhe­ti­schen Chir­ur­gie aus­ge­bil­det wurd und sich durch vie­le hun­dert eigen­stän­dig durch­ge­führ­te Ope­ra­tio­nen umfas­sen­de Kennt­nis­se und Fähig­kei­ten in der Ästhe­ti­schen Chir­ur­gie aneig­nen konnte.
Er gilt als einer der Top 10 Plas­ti­schen Chir­ur­gen in Deutsch­land und hat sich einen Ruf als aner­kann­ter Exper­te auf dem Gebiet der Lipo­suk­ti­on, Brust­chir­ur­gie, mini­mal­in­va­si­ven Gesichts­ver­jün­gung und Intim­chir­ur­gie erar­bei­tet. In zahlreichen medizinischen Fachzeitschriften und Lehrbüchern konnte Dr. Dominik Lukowicz sein Wissen im Bereich der Intimchirurgie weitergeben.
