He has undertaken extensive oral surgery training at Guy's Hospital in London mentored by leading consultants in the field. He also undertook oral and maxillofacial surgery training at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth. Following this, he successfully gained a place on the competitive oral surgery specialist training program in Buckinghamshire.
Dr Patel has published his work in a number of peer-reviewed journals and has been invited both nationally and internationally to present his research in the field of oral surgery.
Away from the dental practice, Dr Patel enjoys travelling the world, and he has a keen interest in cricket.
