About Mr David Rose
Mr. Rose is a Consultant Cardiac Surgeon with a particular focus on minimally invasive techniques for valve surgery. He graduated cum laude in Medicine from the University of Roma La Sapienza, Italy, in 2008, where he completed an experimental thesis on stem cells and tissue engineering for heart diseases. His passion for cardiac surgery led him to begin his training at the same university in 2009. During his training, he developed a strong interest in minimally invasive techniques, which prompted him to pursue a fellowship in minimally invasive cardiac surgery. This experience allowed him to gain expertise in performing complex cardiac procedures with advanced techniques. In 2015, Mr. Rose commenced a three-year PhD course in Angio-Cardio-Thoracic Pathophysiology and Imaging at the University of Roma La Sapienza, which he successfully completed in 2019. Throughout his career, Mr. Rose has specialised in aortic and mitral valve surgery and total arterial revascularisation, striving to offer cutting-edge treatments to his patients. Since 2017, Mr. Rose has been a Consultant Cardiac Surgeon at Blackpool Victoria Hospital, where he also holds the role of Clinical Lead and Head of the Cardiac Surgery Department. He is an honorary lecturer at Lancaster University and leads initiatives to enhance patient care, including the use of remote monitoring for cardiac surgical waiting lists.
"Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions."
