About
Dr Reutens' research in epilepsy encompasses the study of how seizures begin, antiepileptogenic therapies, seizure prediction, and new imaging techniques for epilepsy. Their work also includes the study of epileptogenesis and antiepileptic therapies, and the study of antiepileptic diets in animal models.
Dr Reutens also conducts research in the field of cancer, including developing new molecular imaging agents and radiolabelling strategies for brain cancer. Their cancer research also includes image reconstruction and analysis methods in MRI-PET. Dr Reutens' research in ageing and dementia includes developing new methods for characterising neurovascular coupling in vascular dementia. They also conduct studies of changes in connectivity and brain function, and the development of new molecular imaging agents for diagnosing neurodegenerative disorders.
