About Dr Bhavin Kawa
Dr Bhavin Kawa is a Consultant Interventional and Diagnostic Radiologist in Kent, specialising in minimally invasive interventions, vascular imaging and diagnostic uroradiology. He trained in clinical radiology at St George’s Hospital, London, and continued to complete a fellowship in Interventional Radiology, before taking up his consultant post in 2022. His expertise spans a wide range of interventional procedures, including ultrasound and CT-guided biopsies and drainages, nerve root and facet joint injections, long-term vascular access, hepatobiliary interventions, urologiacal procedures (neprostomy insertion and ureteric stenting), gastrointestinal stenting, and embolisation procedures including the management of testicular varicoceles and benign prostate hypertrophy (BPH). Dr Kawa is highly experienced in prostate MRI, kidney imaging, and CT/MRI vascular angiography, and is a core member of the Urology Cancer Multidisciplinary Team at the Kent Oncology Centre. He has received multiple academic awards, including from the Royal Society of Medicine and Health Education England, and has published in peer-reviewed journals in Interventional and Diagnostic Radiology. He regularly presents at national and international conferences and is a member of several professional bodies, including the Royal College of Radiologists and the British Society of Interventional Radiology.
