Im gleichen Jahr begann sie ihre Ausbildung zur Fachärztin für Augenheilkunde bei Professor Dr. Neuhann, welche sie in der Gemeinschaftspraxis Dr. Frieling-Reuss und Prof. Dr. Nasemann in München weiter fortsetzte. Im Makula-Netzhaut-Zentrum-München wurde sie anschließend Assistenzärztin und spezialisierte sich auf die Behandlungsschwerpunkte Diagnostik und Therapie bei Netzhauterkrankungen und der Intravitreale Injektionen.
