About Dr Bahar Maybrey
Dr Bahar Maybrey qualified as a GP (MRCGP) from the East of England Deanery in 2010 having spent several years working in acute medicine in hospitals in Hertfordshire and became a partner in a large GP practice in Surrey in 2015. Dr Maybrey has worked as a Menopause specialist at Guy’s and St Thomas' Hospital, London, under the direction of Professor Janice Rymer, one of the country’s leading experts. She is passionate about helping women to understand and manage the issues they may face and likes to take the time to consult with every patient as a unique individual to understand their own challenges and perspectives and is a member of the Royal college of General Practitioners, Faculty of Sexual Health and the Institute of Psycho-sexual Medicine as well as working as an NHS GP which gives her a full understanding of the patient’s journey through the healthcare system. Bahar also specialises in women’s health and runs the family planning clinic fitting different types of coils and implants as well as having special interests in psycho-sexual medicine and consulting with patients for various issues which arise from psycho-sexual disorders.
