Dr Anu Aggarwal is a Consultant Cardiologist with hospital appointments at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Melbourne Private Hospital and Cabrini Malvern. She also offers cardiology consultations at HeartWest Essendon and Hoppers Crossing.
Dr Aggarwal completed her medical degree at the University of Melbourne in 1987, followed by her cardiology training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and further training in Echocardiography and Heart Failure at Alfred Hospital. She completed her PhD in Heart Failure at the Baker Institute and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
Dr Aggarwal has particular clinical interests in the management of heart failure, but also has expertise in all aspects of general cardiology, including the following symptoms: loss of consciousness (syncope), shortness of breath, chest pain and palpitations. She uses her expertise to provide a thorough analysis of her patients' symptoms in order to find a solution within her own abilities or through referral to a colleague.
