About Mr Anmar Al-Shawi
Mr Anmar Al-Shawi is an orthopaedic surgeon specialising in Wrist and Hand surgery and peripheral nerve disorders at Ramsay Duchy Hospital. He gained his medical degree in 1995 from Leipzig University in Germany and went on to undertake Post-graduate training in Trauma and Orthopaedics in the UK Southwest rotation, He then completed Subspecialty training in Hand and Wrist Surgery in the UK, Australia and Spain before becoming a Substantive full-time NHS Consultant since 2008. Special interests: • Arthroscopic (key-hole) wrist surgery, • complex wrist surgery including stabilisation procedures and motion-preserving surgery for arthritis, • Dupuytren's surgery • Keyhole Carpal tunnel Surgery • FInger Joint Replacement He Speaks English, Arabic, and German.
