About Dr Andrew Booker

Dr Booker is an obstetrician and gynaecologist with a private practice at Sydney Adventist Hospital. He is passionate about the care he gives and takes great joy in supporting families throughout their pregnancy as well as providing respectful care to patients with gynaecological problems. The emotional needs of patients are highly important to Dr Booker. Dr Booker is also passionate about medical education and helps to train midwifery and medical students. Dr Booker received his medical degree from Newcastle University before completing an internship at Hornsby Hospital. He then spent time working at Manly Hospital before undertaking further training in the Royal North Shore Hospital's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). He gained RANZCOG membership in 2002 and continued his training in a number of hospitals across Australia and in the United Kingdom before becoming a senior registrar in obstetrics and gynaecology at Royal North Shore Hospital in 2003. Dr Booker has gone on to hold leadership positions at Sydney Adventist Hospital as well as the Northern Sydney Obstetrics Society. He was a Counsellor on the NSW Council Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. He has been the head of Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology since 2023. He is currently Deputy Chair of the Medical Advisory Committee at Sydney Adventist hospital. He is also a medical advisor to HCF.
