Mr James performs a high volume of minimally invasive procedures, with a focus on rapid recovery, minimal downtime and excellent patient outcomes.
Mr James studied medicine at Oxford University and King’s College London and undertook higher surgical training in the South-East of England. He was appointed at East Surrey Hospital in 2010 and has over 15 years' experience as a Consultant Upper GI Surgeon. He has held roles including Clinical Lead for Trauma and Lead for Endoscopy, and is currently Clinical Lead for General Surgery at East Surrey Hospital. Mr James’ private practice mirrors his NHS specialty work and includes Spire Gatwick Park Hospital and Nuffield Health Haywards Heath Hospital.
