About
Dr Ahmed Hindawy is a Specialist Urologist at Saudi German Hospital Sharjah. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery in Egypt in 2005 and began his career at El Tayseer International Hospital, working under the guidance of esteemed professors from the university's urology department. In 2008, he joined the residency program at Nasser Institute Hospital for Research and Treatment in Cairo. He earned his master's degree in 2012 and completed the Egyptian Board Fellowship at Cairo University in 2016.
Following his postgraduate qualifications and over a decade of experience, Dr Hindawy was promoted to Consultant at Nasser Institute Hospital. He has a keen interest in minimally invasive surgeries and natural orifice surgeries, which offer patients minimal pain, faster recovery, and early discharge from the hospital.
In 2021, Dr Hindawy became certified by the Arab Board of Urology and has participated in numerous workshops and training sessions covering all types of urological surgeries. At Nasser Institute Hospital, he specialised in the most advanced techniques in urology management.
Dr Hindawy's areas of interest include natural orifice surgeries, minimally invasive surgical procedures for urinary stones using laser technology (kidney, ureter, bladder), PCNL, ureteroscopy, and retrograde intrarenal surgeries by laser (RIRS), as well as cystolitholapaxy. He also specialises in treating sexual dysfunction and performing penile prosthesis surgeries, male infertility treatments such as microscopic varicocelectomy, benign prostatic hyperplasia management with bipolar TUVP and green laser photo-selective vaporisation, reconstructive surgeries, congenital abnormalities (such as hypospadias, undescended testes, PUV, and UPJ), TURBT for bladder masses, and various urologic emergencies.
