About Dr Adam Januszewski
Dr. Adam Januszewski is a Consultant Medical Oncologist at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, London, and serves as the Divisional Lead for Quality and Safety at Barts Cancer Centre. Specialising in thoracic oncology, he has a particular interest in personalised medicine, improving access to clinical trials, and early-stage lung cancer treatment. Dr. Januszewski adopts a patient-centred approach to delivering world-class cancer care, ensuring the highest standard of treatment for his patients. With expertise in clinical trials and translational research, Dr. Januszewski is the chief investigator on international Phase 2 and 3 clinical trials. He plays an active role in shaping national cancer care policies and practices, holding positions on several influential committees, including the British Thoracic Oncology Group (BTOG) steering committee, the UK Lung Cancer Coalition (UKLCC), the Cancer Research UK (CRUK) regimen-specific consent form steering committee, and performing NICE technology appraisals. Dr. Januszewski was awarded a PhD in Genomic Medicine from Imperial College London in 2019 while working as a research fellow at the Royal Marsden Hospital. He also holds a postgraduate diploma in cancer studies from the Institute of Cancer Research (2014) and a Bachelor of Science from Imperial College School of Medicine (2006). Over the course of his career, he has authored numerous book chapters, scientific publications, and has presented original research at international conferences, contributing significantly to the field of thoracic oncology.
