Dr Robert Gordon completed his medical degree at Imperial College London in 2011 and became a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2018. Dr Gordon is also deeply committed to the prevention and management of burnout.
Dr Gordon has practiced as a Consultant Psychiatrist in the NHS since 2011 and has a wealth of experience in working with patients across a spectrum of mental disorders. His expertise extends to anxiety disorders, including post-traumatic stress disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, and generalised anxiety disorder, as well as mood disorders like bipolar affective disorder and depressive disorders. Additionally, he offers adult autism assessments and provides guidance and support following diagnosis, along with the assessment, treatment, and support for adult ADHD.
The service also has a personal story: Dr Gordon built the New Forest Psychiatry service after being inspired by his son who was diagnosed with an autistic spectrum disorder and ADHD, as well as the hundreds of patients he has supported.
