Safa Abdul Javad is a dedicated clinical psychologist at Novomed, committed to helping individuals navigate emotional, cognitive, and social challenges. Safa offers compassionate, patient-centred care tailored to each client’s unique needs. she consults children above the age of three years and also adults. She has a wide range of interests including the management of mood disorders, ADHD, personality disorders and interpersonal issues. She particularly specialises in treating anxiety, depression, and trauma-related disorders, empowering her clients to develop healthy coping strategies and improve their overall well-being. Also she is trained for undertaking Pschological Assessments like IQ, ADHD and Personality tests with both children and adults.
Safa has undertaken a large amount of training as part of her professional development, having earned her Master of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology from the Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (Kerala, India). Prior to this she also undertook a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Diploma in Industrial Psychology and Master of Science in Applied Psychology.
Prior to relocating to the UAE to continue her clinical work, Safa worked at leading mental health centres in India, gaining experience and refining her expertise in delivering evidence-based therapy to achieve lasting positive change. She utilises a variety of therapeutic approaches to suit each client, including Psychodynamic Oriented Psychotherapy, Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques. Her approach focuses on fostering emotional resilience and helping individuals manage life’s challenges effectively.
