Nancy Hage is a highly experienced Clinical Counsellor at American Wellness Center and Medicenters Al Furjan, with over 20 years of experience. Nancy employs an empathetic yet research-driven approach when working with her patients, understanding that life's challenges can often feel overwhelming.
Nancy’s experiences living in different countries and being bilingual in English and Arabic have shaped her understanding of day-to-day life and the impact of our environments. Nancy specialises in working with children, adolescents, parents, and families. She began her career with a BA in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles, followed by an MA with Honours Distinction in Child and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California. Her extensive training and experience have enabled her to work with individuals of all ages, though she finds it particularly rewarding to help children and adolescents navigate socio-emotional, academic, and behavioural challenges. Nancy also enjoys supporting gifted youth, helping them harness their strengths. Her approach is empathetic yet practical, grounded in the latest research and evidence-based treatment.
Nancy provides a secure and confidential therapeutic environment, offering personalised consultations, psychoeducational assessments, and individual and group therapy. Her services include ADHD evaluations, behaviour assessments, developmental assessments, emotional wellness, IQ and personality assessments, comprehensive psychological and educational assessments, pre-school readiness evaluations, and school and home observations. She also provides specialised therapies such as play therapy, family therapy, behaviour therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy, and group therapy. Additionally, Nancy offers positive parenting training, stress management, mindfulness, and social skills training to support the holistic development of her clients.
Nancy leads workshops and presentations, contributing to the wellbeing of the community. Fluent in both Arabic and English, she serves the UAE and is sought after by patients across the Middle East. She holds licences in both the UAE and the USA, allowing her to provide high-quality care to a diverse clientele.
