Dr Avleen Sawhney is a General Adult Psychiatrist at Dr Jo Gee Psychological Therapies. She is also a substantive Consultant Psychiatrist in the NHS, a position she has held since 2008.
Dr Sawhney completed both her Basic and Higher Specialist Training through the Oxford Deanery. She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Therapy from Oxford University and has worked in a specialist CBT clinic for approximately seven years.
With nearly five years of experience in acute psychiatry, Dr Sawhney has worked with the Waverley Acute Care Team, covering Inpatients and the Home Treatment Team (HTT) initially based in Guildford and later at the Abraham Cowley Unit (ACU) in Chertsey.
