He completed his research at Barts and The London Medical School and Imperial College London on the proteomic analysis of cholangiocarcinoma, leading to a research Doctorate in Medicine awarded by the University of London.

Mr Pericleous also has performed hundreds of hernia repairs and gallbladder operations, as well as more complex abdominal, sarcoma-related, and hepatopancreaticobiliary surgical procedures. As part of the Royal Free Hospital HPB unit (one of the largest such departments in the UK), he frequently manages complex liver, gallbladder, pancreas and sarcoma cases that are referred to this unit from surrounding hospitals in London, the rest of the UK, and from abroad.
