About
He graduated in 1991 from KMC Manipal, India, and went on to earn his Master of Surgery (MS) in General Surgery from KMC, Mangalore, India, in 1995. Mr. Saha gained extensive experience in General Surgery while working at a Mission Hospital in India. In 2001, he also served as faculty in Laparoscopic Surgery at the Ethicon Centre in Mumbai.
He completed his Higher Surgical Training in Nottingham and Derby, where he was awarded a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in both General and Upper GI Surgery. In addition, Mr. Saha spent a year as a Bariatric Fellow under Professor Kerrigan at the Gravitas Bariatric Surgery Unit in Phoenix, where he honed his skills in a wide range of bariatric procedures.
He currently serves as the Lead Clinician for Upper Gastro-Intestinal Surgery (cancer and biliary) at the Countess of Chester Hospital, where he has also established a successful one-stop Dyspepsia/Reflux clinic and endoscopy service. Mr. Saha is the appointed Surgical Tutor for the Royal College of Surgeons at the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and serves as the Educational Supervisor for Higher Surgical Trainees.
