This enabled him to develop his expertise in laparoscopic colorectal surgery as well as complex pelvic oncology surgery, complex proctology, and inflammatory bowel disease. He was also awarded an advanced pelvic oncology fellowship in Swansea and a travelling fellowship which was based at the renowned Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.
