About Mr James Francombe
Mr James Francombe has been a consultant colorectal surgeon at Warwickshire Nuffield Hospital, where he has a subspecialty interest in anal fistula. He is highly experienced in his field and is also a laparoscopic colorectal surgeon, fully trained through the national laparoscopic colorectal training scheme and signed off in 2012. Mr Francombe gained his medical degree in 1991 from Liverpool Medical School. He went on to become a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1995 and passed the intercollegiate exam in general surgery in 2001. He has earned several awards during his career including the Baker Bates prize and the Roger Croton surgical prize. Additionally, he is involved in research into early rectal cancer, TWW, and colonoscopy training. Outside of the hospital, he enjoys keeping fit and partakes in tae kwon do, tennis, and skiing. He also spends time fishing and has an interest in personal development.
