Dr Aziz Ali Khalife is a highly experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with over 40 years of clinical experience in trauma and orthopaedics. He holds an MBBS from Basra, Iraq, and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS), Glasgow.
His clinical practice covers a wide spectrum of orthopaedic and trauma conditions. His areas of interest include general trauma, fracture management, upper and lower limb disorders, spinal conditions, and foot and ankle pathology. He also provides joint, tendon, and nerve injections, as well as assessment and management of osteoporosis and paediatric orthopaedic conditions.
Dr Khalife has extensive experience in both emergency and elective orthopaedic care. He has worked in major trauma centres in Abu Dhabi, including Sheikh Khalifa Medical City and Ministry of Health hospitals, managing complex trauma cases, including polytrauma and limb injuries. His work has included both damage control surgery and definitive surgical management.
He has held roles across multiple levels of medical practice, including Emergency Room Physician, General Practitioner, and Specialist Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon. He has also contributed to sports medicine as Head of the Medical Team for Al Jazira Sports Club, managing sports-related injuries in professional athletes.
In his current and recent roles, he has been involved in outpatient assessment, diagnostic evaluation, procedural interventions, and surgical treatment, with operating privileges in hospital settings.
Dr Khalife is a member of several professional organisations, including the Emirates Medical Association, AO Foundation, Abu Dhabi Orthopaedic Club, and Dubai Orthopaedic Club. He regularly participates in professional development through workshops, cadaveric training, and international conferences.
