Dr. Stefan von Gumppenberg is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon who gained his qualifications in orthopaedic surgery in Switzerland and Germany. He specialises in treating degenerative diseases and fractures of the upper extremities, focusing on upper arm and collarbone fractures. Before working at Reem Hospital, he worked at well-known practices, providing surgical and conservative treatments to patients with complex conditions.
Possessing excellent mechanical skills along with great dexterity, Dr Von Gumppenberg is passionate about providing quality orthopaedic care that puts patients first. He is also a member of the Swiss German Society of Orthopedic Surgery, the German society of General Surgery, and AO International.
Dr Von Gumppenberg is able to offer video consultations to his patients. He speaks both English and German and received his Facharzt diploma in 1982 from Technical University in Munich, Germany and from the University of Berne, Switzerland.
All the operations performed on the shoulder section are carried out in close collaboration between Dr. Nagib Atallah Yurdi and Dr. Stephan.
