Tamara Gall is an internationally recognised Consultant Hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) and General Surgeon with specialist expertise in liver, pancreas, gallbladder, and hernia surgery, as well as advanced minimally invasive techniques including laparoscopic and robotic surgery. She has presented at over 50 international conferences, is widely published with more than 70 peer-reviewed articles, and has served on multiple national and international boards, including the scientific committee of the International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (IHPBA). She has a reputation for surgery delivered with a minimally invasive approach including gallbladder, hernia, liver and pancreatic operations.

Ms Gall graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2007 with a distinction in Medicine and Surgery and a first-class honours degree in Physiology. She completed her basic and higher surgical training in London at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, The Royal London Hospital, and The Royal Marsden Hospital. During this time, she was awarded a Doctor of Medicine (MD) by research through Imperial College London and completed a Royal College of Surgeons of England–accredited fellowship in robotic HPB surgery. She received her Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2019.

Ms Gall was the first UK surgeon to receive formal training in robotic HPB surgery and has further refined her expertise through advanced fellowships in the UK, the United States, and Australia. She was awarded several prestigious fellowships, including the Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland / Intuitive Fellowship, the Simpson-Smith Fellowship, and the Royal College of Surgeons and Worshipful Company of Cutlers’ Fellowship, which enabled her to observe and train in advanced robotic HPB surgery in Pittsburgh and Los Angeles in the USA, and in Sydney, Australia. Following completion of training, she undertook a complex pancreatic surgery fellowship at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney and a consultant role in Dublin. During her time there, she performed the first synchronous robotic liver and colon resection in Ireland.
