Professor Marwaha's research focuses on the development and treatment of mood disorders. Their work centres around pathways to illness and care, and methods for enhancing clinical outcomes for this demographic using both pharmacological and psychological interventions.
Professor Marwaha studied Medicine at the University of Cambridge and subsequently at University College London Medical School, qualifying as a doctor in 1996. They undertook training in Psychiatry in North London, and following a period working throughout England and Germany, took up substantive academic and NHS Consultant positions in 2009 in the Midlands. Professor Marwaha is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
