About Dr Himanshu Shekhar
Dr Himanshu Shekhar is a consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist with Priory, who joined in 2017. Dr Shekhar completed his medical degree in India in 2002, before undergoing psychiatric training at the South London and Maudsley Trust. He also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Psychiatry from the University of Nottingham in 2007 and a Master of Science in Psychiatric Practice from the University of Hertfordshire in 2013. Dr Shekhar has extensive experience in CAMHS liaison and inpatient units and became a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2013. He also received a Postgraduate Diploma in Systemic Approaches to Working with Individuals, Families and Organisations during his higher training at Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust in 2016. Dr Shekhar is dedicated to providing excellent care to his patients and their families.
