Dr Rik Kundra is Head of Orthopaedic Surgery at Mediclinic Parkview Hospital, Dubai.
He is also a Clinical Associate Professor of Orthopaedics at MBRU, Dubai.
Prior to his role at Mediclinic, Dr Kundra worked within the NHS and private sector in the UK as a trauma and orthopaedics consultant. He has more than 20 years' experience in orthopaedic surgery and specialises in joint preservation, biologic knee reconstructions, knee replacement surgery and complex knee disorders.
He has a particular interest in sports medicine and treats sports people with knee problems using the latest minimally invasive techniques.
Dr Kundra graduated with his MBBS (Hons) from Imperial College London in 2000 before completing a fellowship in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Toronto, Canada. During his career, Dr Kundra has spoken at conferences both nationally and internationally and has lectured at Aston University and the University of Birmingham.
Dr Kundra is a member of a number of societies including the British Association for Surgery of the Knee (BASK) and the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA). He was also appointed as Clinical Associate Professor of Orthopaedics at the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU) in 2019.
He is also a Clinical Associate Professor of Orthopaedics at MBRU, Dubai.
