Besonders spezialisiert ist er auf minimalinvasive arthroskopische Therapieformen, auch bekannt als Schlüsselloch-Chirurgie. Diese Verfahren ermöglichen es ihm, Schultererkrankungen möglichst schonend zu behandeln. OA Dr. med. Otrel legt großen Wert auf eine individuelle Betreuung seiner Patientinnen und Patienten und steht ihnen während des gesamten Behandlungsprozesses als kompetenter Ansprechpartner zur Seite.
Seine Ausbildung absolvierte OA Dr. med. Philipp Otrel an der Medizinischen Universität Wien. Im Anschluss daran spezialisierte er sich in Deutschland, der Schweiz und Österreich auf die Behandlung von Schultergelenkserkrankungen. OA Dr. med. Otrel ist Mitglied der Österreichischen Ärztekammer und nimmt regelmäßig an nationalen und internationalen Fortbildungen teil.
