Committed to staying at the forefront of surgical innovation, Mr Chan has also completed a mini-fellowship in minimally invasive foot and ankle techniques. He was appointed as a Consultant at Chelsea and Westminster Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in 2021 and is the lead foot and ankle surgeon at the West Middlesex site.
Since his appointment, Mr Chan has played a key role in service development and quality improvement. He has been instrumental in enhancing foot and ankle services within the trust, developing clinical pathways and guidelines, and introducing a Virtual Fracture Clinic at the Chelsea site, significantly reducing waiting times. He currently leads both the Virtual Fracture Clinic and initiatives focused on the prevention of blood clots at the West Middlesex site.
In addition to his clinical work, Mr Chan is actively involved in research and education. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, presented at national and international conferences, and completed two higher research degrees. His strong grounding in research and critical appraisal supports his evidence-based approach to patient care.
