Mr Mayank Nanavaty is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Sussex Eye Hospital, Brighton.
In 1999 Mr Nanavaty completed his general medical training and then in 2002, he completed his postgraduate training in general ophthalmology. This was then followed by 3 years of hard work and dedication where he completed a cataract and anterior segment surgery fellowship in India until 2005. He then went on to undertake a further 2 years of cataract and Intraocular lens Clinical Research Fellowship at St Thomas' Hospital, London.
During his training, Dr Nanavaty gained extensive experience in management of corneal, external eye disease and refractive surgery during his 2 years clinical and surgical fellowship at Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead.
Following this Dr Nanavaty then went on to become a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon in anterior segment services at East Surrey Hospital, Surrey and Sussex NHS Trust, Redhill for 15 months before moving to Sussex Eye Hospital, Brighton.
