Amanda Lau is a Specialist Musculoskeletal and Sports Podiatrist based in London. She has vast experience working with athletes in a wide variety of professional sports.
She studied in Melbourne whilst working for Nike Australia, supporting athletes during triathlon and running events. She worked for Pure Sports Medicine for 7 years and was a specialist with the RAF for 5 years. Following this, she worked at a number of Foot and Ankle Clinics, focused on complex injuries. This spurred an interest into the functional ability of the foot and the role it plays in the kinetic chain. Her practice is based on the principles of functional movement; these combine physical, biological and behavioural sciences to create successful rehabilitation, treatment and injury prevention strategies.
Miss Lau continues to work as a consultant for Nike UK, regularly speaking at conferences and educational sessions. She has given lectures at Queen Mary University, UCL, the London Tennis Association (LTA), Royal Society of Medicine (RSM) and Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (ACPSM). She is also a regular contributor to Running Fitness, Runners World, and Women's Fitness Magazines.
