Dr. Marcelino Yazbek Hanna is a highly qualified and board-certified Urological Surgeon based in the UK, with a specialised focus on Robotic Surgery and Pelvic Uro-Oncology, particularly in the treatment of prostate and bladder cancer. His expertise also extends to performing core Urological procedures, including Genito-scrotal surgeries, benign prostate and bladder outflow obstruction surgeries, template prostate biopsy, as well as bladder and kidney stone surgeries.
Dr. Hanna completed his extensive training in the Northwest Deanery in 2019, gaining valuable experience in renowned healthcare centres, including the Christie Hospital in Manchester, the largest cancer centre in Europe. He further developed his skills through a Royal College Accredited post CCT Robotic and Pelvic Oncology Fellowship at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. Since January 2021, Dr. Hanna has been working as a Consultant Robotic Surgeon and Pelvic Oncologist at one of the largest medical centres in the UK.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Hanna has a substantial background in research and teaching. He devoted three years to postgraduate research at the University of East Anglia, focusing on Prostate Cancer and collaborating with world-renowned researchers as part of the International Consortium for Urine Biomarkers for Prostate Cancer. He remains actively engaged in Prostate Cancer and Urology Research.
Dr. Marcelino Yazbek Hanna has shared his knowledge and expertise by teaching in various courses for surgical and urology trainees and undergraduate medical students at the University of East Anglia.
He is an active member of several professional associations, including the British Association of Urological Surgeons, Fellow of the European Board of Urology, and Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons.
